Scribe Notes For March 21

Today we did a web on triangles.

We discusseed as a class what the three things to make a were. They were: 1. A triangle has three sides, 2. A triangle has three angles, 3. A triangle's angles equal a total of 180 degrees, a straight angle.

As a class, we tried to prove that a triangle's corners put together will equal 180 degrees. A table each got two pieces of paper. We cut the paper into two halves. We cut the triangle into different triangles, but different to the people in your group. We then riped the corners off and put them together. If the corners made a straight line, the theory was right. Everyone had a straight line.

After that we looked at regular and irregular polygon. A regular polygon is a shape that all sides and all angles of the polygon were equal, the polygon is said to be regular. An irregular polygon is a shape that have sides of differing lengths and angles of differing measures.

Then we took out a peice of paper and a pencil. We watched a clip about triangles on www.brainpops.com. Once the clip was done we did a quiz that reveiwed the clip.

Today's is: Worksheet 10.6 due Wednesday.
