Question 3

You play basketball for Sargent Park. You've scored 24 points over the 5 home games and 28 points over the past 7 away games. Now figure out your: Average points per game at home, your average points per game on the road, and your total average points.

Do you score more basket per game at home or away?

Question 3 answer:
The home average estimate was (25÷ 5 ) 5 = the real home average is ( 24 ÷ 5) 4.8
the average for away was (28÷7) 4 ,and you can't estimate the average if theres no decimal
The estimate for total average is (48÷ 12) 4= the real total average for both of them is (52 ÷ 12) 4.3

hello peoples!!! heres a brain teaser for you

The fish market is selling different kinds of fish. But there aren't any prices listed. You ask about the prices, but all the seller will tell you is this:

  • A pound of salmon and a pound of bass are $12.
  • A pound of bass and a pound of swordfish are $10.
  • A pound of salmon and a pound of swordfish are $8.
  • A pound of swordfish and a pound of catfish are $5.
  • Each price per pound is a whole-dollar amount.

How much is the price per pound for each kind of fish?

Assignment Revision

Many of you are having a problem with the blogger assignment as you did not have any problems with the test and there are not enough questions to answer so to earn the blogger marks you can do this. Post some type of question that you have about math. Is there something that you are confused about that we have or haven't learned this year. If you are still really stumped create a question for others to solve i.e. a brain teaser. You will be responsible for provinding an answer to this brain teaser at a later point in time.

happy blogging everyone.
